Athanassios Vozikis is Associate Professor of Health Economics and Information Systems at the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus. He holds a degree in Public Administration from the Panteion University, a M.Sc. in Health Informatics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Ph.D. in Health Economics and Information Systems from the University of Piraeus.
He is Director of The Laboratory of Health Economics and Management of University of Piraeus, and has served as member of the National Council of Public Health and Chair of the Negotiation Committee of National Organization for the Healthcare Services Provision (EOPYY). He is member of various scientific associations and organizations and member of the Editorial Board of several academic journals. He has participated in several research projects, Committees and Advisory Boards related to Health Technology Assessment, Business and Economic Re-engineering Processes in Health Care.
